Medium-length Hike to the Cable Car
The Kasteelspoort trail passes the famous Diving Board rock formation and offers an immersive hiking experience of more than just the iconic Table Top.
This hike follows the dramatic and beautiful Kasteelspoort trail. The steep, rocky footpath follows the western flank of the Twelve Apostle coastline, offering grand views across the Atlantic Ocean as one ascends the mountain. The effort is well rewarded when one reaches the well-known ‘diving board’ rock formation at the top of the Back Table, with its fantastic photo opportunities. From here, the hike meanders across and through the magnificent fynbos mountain paradise that is ‘Echo Valley’, continuing right to the top of the Front Table where one is greeted with spectacular views across the city, harbour and distant mountains.
