Rock Formation Exploration Hike

Medium-length Adventurous Hike

An adventurous exploration of some of Table Mountain's lesser-known rock features.

If exploring interesting rock formations, discovering hidden rock overhangs and enjoying views across forgotten indigenous forest-clad valleys are your thing, this hike is for you.

We hike up Constantia Corner (Bel Ombre) via the Camel Rock and Klassenskop to De Villiers dam on the Back of Table Mountain. From here, passing the impressive historic dam wall structure, we veer off the beaten track to explore the rock overhangs overlooking the magnificent forested Orange Kloof. We continue back to the bridal path and down the mountain via Cecilia Ridge . Our hike ends back down on Constantia Neck.
