Hike across fynbos-clad hills enjoying magnificent views across False Bay and towards the back of Table Mountain before following a lesser-known trail on the edge of the Silvermine Stream.
The tranquil river trail in Silvermine Nature Reserve must be one of Cape Town's best kept secrets. Today's family-friendly circular hike starts out through the fynbos-clad hills above the Silvermine river, fantastic views southwards across the Peninsula, then returns back to the dam via the beautifully shaded river trail. Bring your own picnic to enjoy at the dam after the hike!
